National register for crèches, children's clubs and daycare centres

All persons and organisations that operate childcare facilities for children under the age of 3 are included in the system.

Project


The system is designed for employees of municipal offices and private individuals who own private nurseries and is accessible to all citizens. The facilities are obliged to update information on occupied and free places and to make fees for running a crèche publicly available. Facilities and individuals must register in the system, otherwise they will not be authorised to open such a facility.

Originally, the project was written in Java and ran on the Nilix framework. This framework is not publicly available and has no documentation. Key functions were faulty and the project was not maintained for some time. On this basis, it was decided to reimplement it on modern technology in 2021.

The "Maluch" project has been completed since last year and collects information on daycare centres and children throughout the country. In order to check the verification of the data, the register of daycare centres has been integrated with the Social Security Administration.

Process


The new application is written in Java and uses Angular technology.

The process can be divided into six phases:

  • PHASE I - Discussions with the customer to get to know the needs of the company
  • PHASE II - Preparation of the overall project, subdivision into phases that we will implement
  • PHASE III - Implementation of the changes
  • PHASE IV - Tests: technical and with users as well as integration tests (e.g. with social insurance)
  • PHASE V - Commissioning
  • PHASE VI - Maintenance, corrections, changes
