Supreme sanitary inspection

GIS

Design and implementation of the various modules of the government's hygiene control registration system.

Industry: Public sector

Technology: React, Angular, Java, AI - Chat GPT, OpenAI.

Customer: GIS - Supreme Sanitary Inspection

The task of the GIS is to manage the State Sanitary Inspectorate, initiate and supervise government administration activities aimed at preventing and minimising the negative impact of public health incidents. The Chief of the Sanitary Inspectorate supervises, coordinates and directs the activities of the State Sanitary Inspectorate and also manages the exchange of information with other state administrative bodies.

Project

During the pandemic period (COVID 19) 2019 - 2023, it became clear that the need for GIS information collection and processing was much greater than before the pandemic. This meant that additional modules had to be created for the system.
The designed system should cover all areas of activity of the State Sanitary Inspectorate, support the work of GIS employees and sanitary-epidemiological stations at all organisational levels and provide many functions for companies and citizens.

Solution

  • Core team (December 2022): oversees the entire project and is responsible for the
architecture of the business and technical solutions, including the infrastructure and systems. In addition, its task is to develop and maintain the current system.
  • Epidemiology team (January 2023): covers three areas: Infectious Diseases (including COVID), Infectious Disease Outbreaks and Vaccine Distribution.
  • Environmental Health (January 2023): Community care (cemetery and burial registers), water - health safety procedures for drinking water, swimming and bathing facilities, occupational hygiene and child and adolescent hygiene.
  • Food safety (January 2023): Food business sectors (food and nutrition establishments, manufacturers of food contact materials, etc.), food sampling and food placing on the market notifications.
  • Chemistry (February 2023): cosmetic products, substitutes, new psychoactive substances and drug precursors.
  • KI (Artificial Intelligence): is responsible for the processing of food ingredient data and supports the decision-making process in connection with the detection of prohibited substances or exceedances of the permitted quantities of an ingredient.
  • Control module (March 2023): includes the planning, execution of inspections and implementation of audit recommendations for all areas included in the system. It is also responsible for conducting internal GIS audits.
  • Migration team - responsible for retrieving the source data, eliminating errors in the data, converting it to the target form and finally transferring the data to the new system.
  • Prevention and Health Education: includes the collection and processing of education and health care programmes, especially programmes for people from Ukraine (the module is bilingual: Polish and Ukrainian)

Project success

  • Consumer benefits: Promoting a healthy lifestyle and increasing satisfaction and trust
  • Economic success: Increasing industry sales and supporting local businesses and food producers
  • More transparency through more digitalisation: Design and distribution of food labels (local, organic, religious, kosher, halal) and the use of food quality certificates
  • User acceptance: Quick app setup, user-friendly interface and easy integration with multiple devices
